Judith – I usually make the “fall back” one (I look forward to it), but miss the “spring ahead” one, and end up being late for things for a couple of days.

It’s interesting that this boondoggle is managed by the Department of Transportation. I wonder how many actual scientists are on the payroll of this department–or could it all just be political? Perhaps the quote was correct?

Steve – In researching this thing, it became apparent that the “experts” do not agree on the benefit of daylight saving time, or that there is any benefit at all. Would any of us be surprised that this has simply been a “political” football for many decades now?
